The Sanctuary Prayer

Long Version

Sanctuary Prayer. Jesus, Gentle and Humble of Heart,
You are the Star of Bethlehem, the Sanctuary of the Holy Family, help me to live my life as Mary did, living in the Presence of God, paying Him Homage and Adoration and serving Him in total Surrender. Grant me, dear Lord, the virtues of our Lady:

her Openness and Willingness;
her Humility and Simplicity;
her love of God and neighbour;
her Confidence and Trust in Him; her Prayerfulness;
her Silence and Solitude;
her Obedience to God;
her Purity of Heart;
her Gentleness and Serenity;
and her Self-Sacrifice.
Like Mary, our Blessed Mother, may God’s Will be accomplished in me and through me for the salvation of the world.
Together with Joseph and Mary, may I create and provide a manger,
a sanctuary, for Christ to be born daily in my heart and in the hearts of all people.
Lord, wake me each morning ot hear and listen to you and give me adisciple’s tongue that Imay know how to reply to the wearied. (Isaiah 50:4)
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Consume me in the fire of your love, Fill me with zeal to serve you, and give me a heart like yours, to love unconditionally.

Help me to live in the Spirit of the Sanctuary of the Holy Family:
Silence and Serenity in the Presence of God;
Arms to comfort with Humility and Understanding;

Nurture back to wholeness of Body, Mind and Soul;

Charity, Acceptance, Peace and Hospitality to all;
To offer Prayer and to contemplate God at all times and in all things;

Unconditional Love, Kindness, Mercy and Forgiveness;

Assistance to all esp. Priests, Religious, Families and Youth;

Refuge, Shelter and Protection as we wait in Joyful Hope;

Yielding to the Power of God and abandoning oneself to His Holy Will;

As an Oasis of Peace through this desert of life, where all who labor and
are over-burdened can come and find rest for their souls; (Mat. 11:28-30) As a Place of Pilgrimage to the center of one’s being there ot encounter
the Healing Presence of God. Oh, Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, nourish me by Your Word, by Your Precious Body,
Blood, Soul and Divinity, by Your Sacrament of Forgiveness
and by Your Holy Spirit, so that with the Holy Family of Bethlehem, I may glorify You and sing praises to You with an eternal Magnificat and come safely one day into Your Heavenly Kingdom. Amen.
